UPCYCLING IN STYLE

Danish Fashion frontrunners Ganni wants to turn waste to value. 

Since our inception, we have upcycled spent coffee grounds in multiple ways, mostly as biogas and fertilizer, but helping Ganni turning waste into a new luxury product is definitely a Damn Good highlight.

The inspiring project is made in collaboration with the Ganni Lab, and the result of the groundbreaking Kaffe Bueno circular biorefinery process.

Ganni Founder Nicolaj Reffstrup is famously obsessed with inspiring a more responsible version of the fashion industry. Constantly questioning and innovating around the supply chain, finding ways to become more sustainable.

Reffstrup says “Turning our used coffee grounds into soap and mushrooms won’t single-handedly solve the climate crisis, but initiatives like this still have their justification. They help create awareness and nudge people into making small, more responsible choices every day”.
